Disappointed

I had heard so much about this, I was expecting GREAT. I was disappointed. Part of it was that it was hard to see and hear what was going on. ALL the lines were sung - like opera. While the great events of the story were there (mostly), some things were exaggerated or newly created and some things were totally missing. The singing was great and the orchestra was fantastic but I think it would have been hard to follow the story if one had not read the book or at least seen one of the various movies. Sadly, I don't think the character of Inspector Javert was well developed. And, of course, it was a LONG production, there are not enough bathrooms at the Fox, and the staff rushed people because it had to end before 11 PM or there would be overtime to pay.
